The SAP CAR (Customer Activity Repository module used to process sales transactions into SAP ECC) Applications Analyst will work closely with our business, functional groups, and other IT teams to design and build solutions on SAP CAR. The Application Analyst will assist in implementing SAP S/4 to replace SAP ECC, the roll out of our new point of sale application to all stores, and the replacement of our Order Management System for digital orders. The Application Analyst is expected to provide counsel and leadership to their respective area enhancing efficiency while protecting the integrity of the overall solution. The Application Analyst is expected to apply project management expertise to identify and develop process improvements, resolve issues, and optimize cost savings and efficiencies. This is an individual contributor role (no direct reports) working collaboratively and cross functionally with other IT teams and business partners.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates a strong call to action, proactively addresses challenges, and is driven to achieve high quality solutions.
- Exhibits curiosity, a desire to learn, and ability to build subject matter expertise in SAP CAR.
- Partners closely with external consultants, cross-functional technology associates and business partners to support the new POS project implementation, the SAP S/4 implementation and the replacement of our Order Management System for digital orders
- Works proactively to understand SAP CAR & how it fits into the larger technology landscape at BBW. Effectively navigates change by partnering to understand impacts to SAP CAR and its direct integrations with other SAP modules and non-SAP solutions.
- Responsible for the full systems development lifecycle from requirements gathering through implementation of various functional architecture solutions
- Designs, configures, tests, debugs, documents, and collaborates with product development teams on packaged and custom software solutions
- Author documentation such as techno functional specifications ensuring all details of designed solution ensuring integrations, dependencies, configuration, mapping, test cases and business process rules are included to support projects
- Develop, prototype, test and implement solution improvements to increase stability, usability and functionality to enable end users to meet business objectives
- Research and analyze complex issues surrounding business processes & technology
- Support the identification of enhancement opportunities to improve processes and system configuration that supports the customer-focused approach, but ensures compliance to the business management goals and objectives
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of professional experience required
- 1-3 years of SAP CAR experience in either functional or technical role required
- Excellent communication skills
- Demonstrated capability of preparing and communicating key messages to senior leaders
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
